Agoura Hills splits neatly into two very different service areas from a chimney standpoint. Old Agoura, north of the freeway, is horse-property country with older ranch homes on larger lots, and those houses tend to have substantial real masonry fireplaces built when that was simply how it was done. Old Agoura ranch properties carry older full masonry stacks where crown and mortar deterioration lead the list, while the newer neighbourhoods to the south run more toward factory-built units.
